From what I have seen online you have to take all kinds of panels off to try and find the cable to release the seat. Anyone have an easier fix? What a pain in the a$$ for there to be no lock right under the seat that you could access with the key.


I just bought this scooter and opened the seat once....went to open it again to put my helmet inside but the seat won't open. I don't hear any sort of electrical sound coming from the ignition when I turn the key to the left to try and open the storage.

Does this model open the seat by turning the key anti-clockwise? (steering lock disengaged) If so, is there any resistance when turning the key?

Actually, I was turning it the right way counter clockwise like you said but I was turning it too far. It only has to be turned a little. Would still have been nice to have a key lock on the seat instead of relying on the ignition.
