I am currently purchasing a new Yamaha 115 hp SHO to run on my 21 foot stump knocker. I want a cruising speed of 35-40 mph to get the best fuel usage. My boat is not as heavy as most. So my question is can I run a prop with a 21 inch pitch? My dealer discourages me from that. I’m only running 35 mph at a full throttle of 6400 with a 17 prop!
