I have a 97 535 virago, the under seat tank has rusted and looks unrepairable due to size of holes I can't source one anywhere except the US with crazy prices (200 dollars) any advice please

$200 for a fuel tank isn't all that expensive for new. Ebay is actually about the same price. Are you talking about #24 in diagram below?

Am in the process of removing it, I can see the holes from underneath the bike and under seat ( the hose connectors are loose) will post pics when removed, thanks for reply☺
