Hello I recently bought a ttr125LE which came with a vm24 carb which everyone says makes the bike run amazing, but I cant for the life of me get it to run good. It idles ok on a 15 pilot but whenever I crack the throttle fast it bogs really hard, I tried every needle position aswell as main jets from 100-210, I got the best results with the 210 and full rich needle position. The bike has good compression and no air leaks. The bike also also has the airbox mod and the exhaust washer mod. This leads me to think that the carb is too big as it cant suck enough fuel as high throttle. Also everywhere I search people say it runs good with main jets around 100-150 but for me it completely lean bogs and dies, the 210 got it to run somewhat ok but still bogs super hard on quick throttle inputs. Does anyone know the solution to this? The carb also seems decent definitely not a cheap ebay one, it looks just like the one for sale on fortnine.

Oh and also the carb is brand new and im in toronto at pretty low elevation

does it have a pilot jet? Try a bigger one.

tried a 17.5 instead of a 15 and it idles super rich and all the other issues are still there. Everyone says how good this carb is for this bike but mine seems to be way too big for the venturi to work properly

Maybe it would be best to figure out the carb it came with and get one.
