I have a 2005 TTR 125. Bike kicks over first kick. Runs solid for about 20-30 minutes, stop, kick start, idle, no problem. Then sometime after the 20 or 30 minutes, if you turn it off or sit it may stall and then it won't start again. Seems like no spark, kick and nothing, add choke, still nothing. Then let sit for 4 hours or so. Kicks right over again first kick as if nothing had happened.

Has a new carburetor and clutch (or just clutch cable, can't remember) installed by previous owner.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I would check gas cap vent. If it's clogged it creates a vacuum in the gas cap and fuel will not flow. Easy check, ride like you normally would. About 10 minutes or so stop and open gas cap. If you hear a swish sound of incoming air into tank, you found the problem. Next thing is vaper lock. That's when the fuel in the carb of fuel line gets hot enough the fuel will vaporize and not flow. Has any fuel lines been move resently closer to a hit engine part or exhaust. Another possibility is the coil or pickup coil is getting hot and failing. This would take testing from plug backwards when it's in the no run condition. Hope this helps.
