I recently purchased a 1986 Yamaha Moto4 225, I started working on it since it didn't run or drive. I replaced the Starter Solenoid, CDI Box, Seat and has new switch gear on the handle bars. It has spark and will turn over if I touch a screwdriver to solenoid but the switch wont turn it on. Any suggestions on what might be wrong with it?

Sounds like corrosion on the switch or a bad switch. With a meter check voltage out of switch.

I've checked the switch and it works perfectly fine, the lights work on the switch so I'm assuming it's a wiring problem.

Have you had your battery load tested? A low or faulty battery will power lights but not have enough voltage to turn starter. Any local automotive store can load test the battery for free. If battery test good and is fully charged, try a few tests to narrow down issue.

Looking at picture below:
1. Do you have 12 volts to terminal from battery?
2. Do you have 12 volts when from starter switch to white connector when starter switch activated?
3. Do you have 12 volts at terminal going to starter when switch is activated?
