I have a 2006 Yamaha R6s, I had a bad throttle tube that I replaced recently but the cable had been sticking before changing that as well.
As shown In This video It doesn't fully seat back to where it should ; by an 1/8 or so.

I don't know if I should try greasing it and see if it goes back or if there is some adjustments I can make or whether I need a new cable.
Any thoughts?

I've had this happen a few times. Check the channel where the throttle tube fits. Sometimes there's casing plastic the did get trimmed correctly not allowing free movement.
