I just picked up a 2022 Zuma. The owner's manual says to check the valves at the 600 mile tuneup. Being a DIY type, I would prefer to do this myself. Does anyone know where to get a shop manual for a 2022 Zuma 125, in English?

Tips on accessories and places to buy them online would be swell too.

Thanks!

Hi vespadaddy,

I can’t speak for the 2022 Zuma 125 shop manual. This bike is so new and has a lot of new features not on previous Zumas. The new bike uses Yamaha’s Variable Valve Timing system which is probably a totally different valve adjustment procedure.

As far a Zuma OEM parts, here’s one on-line listing for you to check out.
Yamaha 2022 Scooter OEM Parts, Yamaha Sports Plaza

Best of luck. 🛵💨💨💨

Thanks for the link. I was able to look at the valvetrain parts diagram, and learned that it uses screw type adjusters for valve lash, which should mean that valve clearance inspection/adjustment should be really easy.

Now if only my local dealer would call me to let me know the shop manual I ordered was in, so I would know the specified clearance for the valves.

Another 40 miles and I'll hit the 600 mile first oil change. I'll be using Mobile1 10-40 full synth 'race oil' in both the motor and the final drive (which is also supposed to be changed at 600 miles).
