We’re determined to get the word out about YamahaForum and get more visitors using our forums.
We need online promoters to help grow our forums.

Here are the details -

High energy, web savvy promoter needed to help grow user base and content base on Yamaha motor-sports and PWC web forum. Goal-oriented mindset will lead to success with this position as a forum moderator.
Task is to recruit new users per week and contribute forum threads per week. In addition, must work to ensure that all user threads are replied to and any misguided / inappropriate content is removed. This position will be evaluated on the above requirements as well and level and volume of participation of recruited user base.

If you are interested in joining on, please know the following:

  • moderator positions are un-paid. There are a few incentives, but a paycheck is not one of them
  • You will be expected to be on your best behaviour in ALL threads at ALL times. You will represent US as a site, not just your self or your own opinions.
  • You are expected to be on the site at least once a day most days and peruse all forums, not just the sections you are interested in.
Daily duties involve killing spam, moving mis-categorised items, acting as a leader in topics, and keeping the membership as a whole in order and non confrontational.

Additional tasks may be assigned or asked for volunteers at random depending on what comes up.

To apply, please send me a PM short essay containing at LEAST the following:

  • about you/your background in Yamaha motorcycles/atvs/utvs/etc...
  • Why you want to be a moderator
  • what you like about YF
  • what you dislike about YF and how you think you can make it a better place.
  • age, timezone/location, average hours on the site or can be on the site
and with "Moderator Application" as the subject line.

Yes, you WILL be judged on your writing style. No, this isn't English class, but it will act as a sample of your ability to perform a required task. Since all aspects of this site involved writing and reading, writing correctly is a big part of being a successful staff member.

I will likely narrow the field down to 3 or so applicants and then bring the current moderators in for the final nominations.

I will be accepting applications until this positions are filed.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you chose to apply.

Adam and all the YF staff

I removed few inactive moderators, please don't feel offended if your moderator status was removed, nothing is personal. We just need dedicated moderators that help us with the forum promotion and show a significant interest.
Also Motocross Maverick is now YF supermoderator, his promotion was a result of dedication and help. Congratulations!
