Not a pro, backyard mechanic. 1991 fzr 600. Had this hose on right side spitting vapor, couldn't tell were supposed to connect. Oil case vent? Well plugged with bolt. Then while riding, big, big, oil leak left upper valve cover. Seems like half circle part of valve cover gasket, blew out like it may be pressure release function? Should i just hammer back in and

unplug hose?

The hose you plugged is the crankcase vent, yes, unplug it.
If that cover gasket part taps back in it will probably be ok.
