Hi new member here name is Al. I just bought a 2010 v star 950 tourer. Wondering about any known issues.

Welcome from the Texas Hill Country. The 950 is a great bike. One issue to check is belt tightness. Over tight belts will prematurely wear the front dive pulley, with usually leave a red dust around pulley area. I strongly recommend to keep belt on lower side of tightness.
