Mines dry, bone dry. just put new engine in but can't get the clutch to work. 1991 fzr 600. , Clutch barely disengages, shifting is hard. Only rode short didtance till figure this out. Not sure of engines prior history, out of Maryland from ebay that only said it ran. Engine runs beautiful, just damn clutch.

Well if it's full of oil it has to be wet with oil. I'm guessing you just think it's not wet with oil because it doesn't work right?

If its a hydraulic clutch it could be the master cylinder isn't working. The slave will leak if it doesn't work I think. Did you check the fluid for the clutch? Or is it just a cable? Could be the cable is not working well or needs adjustment if it isn't a hydraulic clutch.

Anyway, it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging all the way. Now you must figure out why.
