Hi I have a WR450 06 which after being storred for a while now has irratic idle speed.
I have drained the fuel checked plug and generaly fiddled with the carb.
Can anyone help??

Definately sounds like the carb. I would take it off and clean it real good. Especialy since it has sat for a while.

I have stripped the carb and all seems ok,
But did notice with the bike layed over on stand side it runs fine but when stood up or on opposite side the revs increase? what the....!
Have checked cables and stuff now i am really freaked.

You have missed something in the carb ... if the revs increase when the bike is vertical, it would indicate the engine is running weak when vertical or running rich when leant over, dependant on if the idle speed was set on the stand or vertical. My gut feeling is the float height (or float is bent) is incorrect. Do a fuel level check with the bike on the stand & vertical and see if they are the same

Sounds like it could be the needle valve and seat.
This is the jet that controls the fuel level in the bowl.
Some times they get sticky or develop a groove where it seats.
The jet and seat should be changed at the same time.
