I have a 2006 R6. Riding down the road the other day and it just revved out I looked down at the gauge telling me what gear I was in and it was blank I downshifted it did not register any gear I came to a stop tried to shift through it would not shift into gear notice the chain was really loose and had to push it home luckily I was only three blocks away I didn't know if it might be the chain the gear or the transmission. Can someone give me some insight please

In all honesty this is probably above your head.
So it quit running too?
so it seems to be stuck in neutral?
What happens now if you try to start it?
