I NEED HELP or a little bit of understanding i have a 2001 r1 and my problem is that everytime i crank it over it backfires .one or two times out of ten,it will do the backfire shit.i pull the plugs and they have to me to much fuel but i am new to this so if there is ant thoughts that might help me or lead me in a direction i should go.......thanks maybe some day i will get it

Did this problem just start suddenly or did it get worse slowly over time? What work has been done on the bike? Any recent repairs or maintenance?

Also - backfire is commonly used when you get a loud pop out of the exhaust. That is actually after fire.. Back fire is when it pops back through the carb - not out the exhaust. Which are you getting?
