FZ1 LOWERING KIT

HI, My FZ1 is slightly to high for me, Aim on my toes whist stationery plus getting my leg over can be a little difficult sometimes. I've ordered a lowering kit which will reduce the height by 30 mil. Il a little concerned that this will affect the handling of the bike? Has anyone had this done? also any advise. Cheers Andy
