Hi folks.
Firstly, dont hate me, im buying my mates 250 zzr within the next 2 weeks, first bike, and will be my learning bike for next 6 months.. cant beat the price..
However my true love is the R6, and XVS-650(v-star), always loved those bikes, and now im finally getting on a bike at a cheap price, my dream is not far off..
MY question is this.. I would like to aim for long day trips, and possibly move into weekend trips away on the bike.. So what is the best bike for this? I dont want to be paying 20g's for the top range touring specialist, i can read a brochure..
I'm interested in probably 600-800cc's, and by the time i have spent roughly a year on this 250, will be looking to get something to allow me to do this kind of riding... speed is not an concern, more rider comfort for longer rides, such as day trips of 4 or 5 hours, or weekend trips...
I should say I have never ridden a bike for a day trip as yet, so im curious, when someone goes out on a day trip on the weekend, how many hours is comfortable?
Cheers, sorry to sound like a newbie, dont hold it against me please
