Wondering if anyone could help...

Been stripping the engine I've recently bought to put in my '78 DT E Frame and have found a previous owner's possible misfortunes...

The bolt that fixes the advance/retard mechanism does go in, but just spins right before would go tight. The bolt looks fairly duff anyway, but from sticking a torch in-line and looking, the threads don't look amazing either.

My next problem is it looks like someone's had a go at pulling the Armature and damaged the notch that lines up the advance/retard mechanism, which does still locate and fit in place, but not sure how she'd sit after I pulled off the Armature to get to the threads and properly investigate...

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated - Not sure which route to follow!
