81-83 Virago XV750 - Carburetors & vacuum line?!?!?!

Hey guys, my xv750 virago is slowly getting put back together and i'm suspecting a bit of a future speed bump with the fuel system.

I have the original gas tank (2 petcock outlets) and original carburetors and intake boots/manifolds.

I DONT have original petcocks. I have aftermarket petcocks with only 1 outlet for fuel (no vacuum line outlet). These petcocks have option of OFF/ON/RES.

Now, come time to start, idle, and run this bike, will i be okay with plugging the intake manifold outlets where the vacuum lines would connect to? and would the fuel still be pulled into the carbs when idling and reving the bike? and do i have to worry about carbs over flowing of fuel and it dripping fuel into the engine?

Anyone else try not using vacuum lines?

Open all thoughts and experiences, thanks.

plug the vacuum lines that went the the petcocks. As long as you turn off the petcocks when not riding you should be good to go.
