'22 FX Cruiser HO Dash failure

My '22 FX Cruiser Ho dash has failed. 25 hours. Black screen, seems to have no power, speakers and buttons dont work. But the motor did fire up and run. Took 3.5 weeks for Yamaha to approve of the warranty work. Now the replacement part is on back order till mid-end July.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue, and how it was resolved? Did you ride it with no screen? I've talked to Yamaha customer service (866-894-1626). Is there anyone else I could talk to, maybe in the corporate office, to make sure this issue is known?

I've had the jetski since last June. Only used last summer for 3 months, then has been winterized by dealer and sat for 5 months. Mild winter here in New York. Display issue was found when getting the jetski ready for this summer.

I had one shit the bed on me last season, I was told to just verify the oil pressure alarm would sound if the sensor was disconnected (which it did) so it was fine. The three main alarms you would be concerned about would be over heat, oil pressure and low fuel.
When hooking the older models (pre ‘21) up to diagnostics for testing/running you have to actually unplug the display anyway so you were running without a display wouldn’t hurt the water vehicle. Just keep in mind you have no speed or other critical info outside of alarms beeping at you if there were a problem

Seems the supply chain issue may have created less than quality components. I feel for you...I have had VX Cruiser HO in the water like four times. I have the audio system but disconnected as it destorys the battery...My fear is out on the water and the battery craps out. Has anyone jump started the HO motor?
Entirely possible.
I have boosted many many waverunners, 3 cylinder 1048 engines, 1.8l Ho and 1.8 SVHO without issue. Just never do it from a running donor vehicle. Or use a boost pack, they work great in a pinch.
