I am wondering if anyone can give me details on this bike. I can't find my title and it has been in the shed for a while, I can't make out anything on the sticker that should give me details so the only thing I know is in the title line of this post.

I didn't know if the painting on the tank and such were factory, special edition or what. I read several different descriptions about the XS 1100 but none of the information was showing that so I wanted a bit of help from people in the motorcycle world.

I knew a guy who had one many years ago. It looked just like this one.

I have a Yamaha 1979 XS1000 and have noticed a couple of mods from the photo you included. The tank artwork is custom and the the tail pipe is different. I'm not sure if the hard cases and fairing are stock but I doubt it. Make sure you change all the fluids including the the shaft drive and brakes. Carb will likely need work and I'll be surprised if the calipers aren't frozen. Oh yea and mice like to nest in the airbox. It is one of the great ones.
