Waxing hull

First time pwc owner and I have read that waxing the hull isn’t a good idea. How true is this? And if so should I still not use a wash/wax combo on the hull even as it’s not a true “wax”. The exact product is “Super Orange Citrus Boat Wash and Wax”. thank you.

That sounds silly to me, why not?? Isn't it fiberglass with gel coat?

Where did you here this?

Read on multiple websites that waxing the hull causes aeration which will cause a loss of speed for the pwc. Thought it sounded strange too.
