clutch friction point

hi, I replaced the clutch on my xvs1100a and the friction point is different depending of the engine temp.. cold=far from the handle grip and hot is closer .. any tip or advise?

interesting. Does the clutch work well otherwise? This bike is pretty old right? 10 years plus?
If it's cable driven I think I would check the cable over, lube or just replace it. If it's hydraulic I would flush/bleed it. I know these 2 things don't really make sense for your problem but why not?

I guess what I'm saying is I don't know why it would do that,very strange, but on an old bike these things should be done anyway, sure won't hurt.

Please let us know what you find, I'm curious.

yep the clutch works as it should, the clutch cable is working fine and not damaged , I installed 3rd party firctions disk... are they expands with the heat? that I don't know

I'm sure they expand with heat, everything does, but not that much!

Maybe play with the cable adjustment a bit, see what happens.

when I adjust the clutch lever screw to be at the right place when hot, once it is cold the lever is almost deployed when start grabing again.. and then when hot get back to it's previous adjustement.. I wrote to the clutch company to get some explications and still waiting for an answer
